World Cup schedule will change again

In the meantime, the ODI cricket schedule has been changed. A day before the start of World Cup ticket sales, there have been demands to change again. Hyderabad Cricket Association, one of the states of India and one of the venues of the World Cup, has demanded a change in the schedule of the World Cup.

The state’s cricket association said there would be problems in organizing the matches between New Zealand vs Netherlands on October 9 and Pakistan vs Sri Lanka on October 10.

However, the Indian Cricket Board is not taking this request of the Hyderabad Cricket Association into account. According to BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla, a schedule change is almost impossible now.

Rajiv Shukla has the responsibility of organizing all the matches of Hyderabad in the World Cup. In this context, he said, ‘I am responsible for all the matches of Hyderabad in the World Cup. If there is any problem I will try to solve it. But now it is virtually impossible to change the schedule of any World Cup match. Because BCCI cannot change the schedule at will. He needs the permission of the ICC.

As per the new One Day World Cup schedule, there are two consecutive days of matches in Hyderabad. New Zealand and Netherlands will meet at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on October 9. Pakistan and Sri Lanka are scheduled to face each other on the same ground the next day i.e. October 10. The Hyderabad police have objections to the match for two consecutive days. It has been informed by the Hyderabad police that there may be a security problem. BCCI officials have informed about this concern.

The Hyderabad police officials also have objections to the match for two consecutive days. According to them, no time will be available between the two matches. It is a problem to provide proper security. In particular, they are reluctant to take risks as there is a Pakistan-Sri Lanka match on the second day.

The match was originally scheduled to take place on October 12. But since the India-Pakistan match in Ahmedabad is on October 14 instead of October 15, the Pakistan-Sri Lanka match in Hyderabad has been brought forward two days. The Ahmedabad police had objected to the India-Pakistan match on October 15 for Gujarat’s Navratri festival.

The Pakistan-England match at Eden Gardens has also been changed for Kalipuja. This match was originally scheduled to take place on November 12. But the Kolkata Police objected to this match. So that match will be held on November 11 by bringing forward one day. Note that the One Day World Cup is scheduled to start on October 5.
