Sheikh Hasina has resigned from the post of Prime Minister in the face of a round of demands for the government's resignation from the anti-discrimination student movement. After resigning, a military helicopter took off with Sheikh Hasina from around 2:30 pm. He was accompanied by his younger sister Sheikh Rehana.
