The latest statistics of the telecom regulator showed that the number of mobile phone users hit over 19 crore in the country at the end of November this year.
According to data from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), the number of subscribers in the country reached 19.04 crore in November 2023.
Bangladesh has currently four mobile companies, three of which are foreign-backed cell phone operators.
The number of subscribers of mobile operators, Grameen Phone, Robi Axiata, Banglalink Digital Communications and Teletalk Bangladesh, stood at 8.21 crore, 5.84 crore, 4.34 crore and 0.65 crore respectively at the end of November, the BTRC data showed.
Earlier, the number of Bangladesh’s mobile phone subscribers stood at 18.02 crore at the end of December 2022.
