28 people were killed and 19 injured in a road accident in southern Ethiopia.
The local media reported quoting the officials that the accident occurred when a bus from Olaita Sodo to Dauro Zone overturned on Wednesday afternoon.
The injured are being treated at local hospitals.
Police said the death toll may increase.
Despite Ethiopia’s low per capita car ownership rate, fatal road accidents occur due to bad roads, reckless driving, faulty driving licenses and poor enforcement of safety regulations.
