Trump rejects Democrats’ accusations who compared him with Hitler

Former US President Donald Trump has said that he has never read Adolf Hitler’s works and that he is not his follower.

“I know nothing about Hitler. I’m not a student of Hitler. I never read his works,” Trump said in an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt when commenting on accusations brought by US President Joe Biden’ campaign.

“They say that he said something about blood. He didn’t say it the way I said it, either, by the way, it’s a very different kind of a statement,” he added.

Earlier, the Biden campaign strongly criticized Trump, saying that the former president had “parroted Adolf Hitler.”

Trump told a rally of his supporters in North Carolina that immigrants are “poisoning the blood” of the United States.

The US will hold its presidential election in November 2024. Incumbent US President Joe Biden officially launched his candidacy to seek a second White House term in late April. Former US President Donald Trump announced his plans to seek re-election in November 2022.
