Chayon Rahman dedicate UNICEF Meena Award for Street Children

Child labour is the burden issue now in Bangladesh. With continuous report, people is aware about child labour. Chayon Rahman, from the beginning of his career report on various issues about child labor. Not only that by reporting Chayon Rahman draws also the dream of street children and their struggle also.

Chayon Rahman has received  the UNICEF MEENA AWARD 2010. This award is for his report on child sailors. In report, Chayon Rahman told two six-year-old childrens story, who is acted as sailor of boats and literally help their father.This aspect was highlighted in his report. Because of this, in 2010, Chayon Rahman got the UNICEF MEENA AWARD 2010.

In response to receive the award, Chayon Rahman has dedicated this award to deprived street child of Bangladesh.

In rdesponse Chayon Rahman told that It is a career built through 18 years of honesty, dedication, hard work – Reporter, Senior Reporter, Special Reporter, Chief Reporter, In-charge, Assignment Editor, Chief News Editor and now Head of News duty – Presenting more than five hundred episodes of at least ten shows – Besides all the investigative reporting, two of the shows I presented became hugely popular. All this has helped in getting the highest salary along with holding various top posts
