ACI opens factory in Bangladesh

ACI CO-RO Bangladesh Ltd., a joint venture between Bangladeshi conglomerate ACI Ltd. and Danish fruit juice giant CO-RO A/S, proudly announced the grand opening of its brand-new factory in Bangladesh. The inauguration program was held on 6th February in their state-of-the-art factory in Narayanganj, Bangladesh.

ACI CO-RO Bangladesh Ltd was founded as a green field investment in 2019 to bring refreshment and delight to the Bangladeshi consumer through an offering of delicious fruit-based European standard drinks under CO-RO’s brand and quality umbrella. This collaboration aims to combine local expertise with international excellence for the good of the Bangladeshi consumer.

Dr. Md. Abdus Shahid MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Agriculture, Christian Brix Møller, the Ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh, M. Anis Ud Dowla, Managing Director of ACI Ltd., Søren Holm Jensen, President CO-RO A/S, Søren Ravn, Executive Vice President Asia Region CO-RO A/S, Nils Ronnow, Managing Director of ACI CO-RO (Bangladesh) Ltd, local political figures and executive top management and distinguished leaders from both founding companies were present at the occasion.

The mission of ACI CO-RO is to bring a ‘wow’ feeling to consumers through delicious taste and exceptional product quality. The launch of Sunquick, a beloved brand known for its commitment to purity and flavor, is set to revolutionize the ready-to-drink market in Bangladesh. Sunquick offers natural, ready-to-drink options without artificial additives, aligning with evolving consumer preferences. The production process adheres to high European standards, sourcing materials globally. With a timely launch amid Bangladesh’s rapid economic growth, Sunquick caters to the changing tastes of the new generation, poised to become a symbol of quality and taste.

Chief Guest Dr. Md Abdus Shahid MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Agriculture, People’s Republic of Bangladesh said “Foreign investment in the agricultural product market is increasing day by day and it comes with product diversification. What ACI CO-RO doing is truly commendable. They are procuring mango pulp from local sources and presenting quality products to consumers. They are sharing expert knowledge and creating employment opportunities in the local market.”

Christian Brix Møller, the Ambassador of Denmark to Bangladesh, conveyed, “Serving as Denmark’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, my goal extends beyond fostering strong ties; it includes promoting mutual understanding and encouraging investments that bring Danish quality to Bangladesh. ACI CO-RO’s commitment to delivering superior products aligns seamlessly with our shared values. Søren Holm Jensen, President CO-RO A/S, stated “Through ACI CORO we gain access to a large and growing market, and we see great value in our partnership with ACI Ltd. which will bring joy to 170 million consumers in Bangladesh. Together, we have invested in the construction of a new, modern factory strategically located in the outskirts of Dhaka.
