Naughty little boys, ladies of the night and Ammus

So here came another mega dose of sleaze, making Dhaka’s rich look exactly as they are: rich, powerful and banal not to mention the bearer of rural cultural disorder in urban settings.  As one pointed out, female criminality is rising whatever that means. Haillas expect them to stay home and the men commit all crimes. Now there is competition.

These were what the police would call not so nice ladies. This includes a doctor called Ishita  and all she did was have plenty  of certificates which were used to make money. As if that was a crime in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, the arrest of the two models has raised several questions. They are apparently known to all richies and linked through their lifestyle and social connections. They are by-products of Dhaka’s wealthy class who live who are not respectable but are so incredibly rich that they can safely live outside the law. Apparently all are linked to several other crimes and misdemeanors that stretches back to a life where the rich play sugar daddy to sugar babies and it’s all normal. But then accidents do happen and some get caught in blackmail which too is inevitable.

One girl caught was once part of Dhaka’s celebrated Apon Jewels incident and several cases both by and against her are on related matters. She was linked to a recent death of  another girl where a wealthy scion was accused of abetment to suicide but the police have given an “innocence” report.  Both girls  were  accused of  blackmailing “innocent” children of the super-rich by inviting them to parties, plying them with drinks and then taking pics. It’s so sad.

Police have called these girls “ rater rani “/ “night queens” which of course shows how deeply Bangla literature influences law enforcement  and their understanding of crime and action against it. The last time also when police hauled in two girls  in hijab found in an accused’s home relating to the Porimoni case , the police called them “mistresses” which is not factual as such words represent long term sexual commitment.

Similarly, these rich kids who are getting caught at homes of the ladies of the night may also be described differently as their mother told them to be home by six and they instead strayed off to parties  Maybe they should also be called” naughty naughty little boys”.

These helpless boys are having innocent fun but these ladies take pics and threaten to send them to their moms which are most unfair.  We think they should be charged with the biggest crime possible : coming between sons and their mothers. In Bangla culture also called the Ammu Culture, this is high crime.

Meanwhile, thanks for doing all that is being done.  Before the feminists become angry, could we have a few naughty boys arrested for leading the daughters of the rich astray. It goes perfectly with the Sustainable development Goals to which Bangladesh is committed. There must be gender parity please.
