Bangladesh will play two warm-up matches against Sri Lanka and Pakistan before the start of the Women’s T20 World Cup.
Bangladesh girls will enter the field to play the first preparation match on September 28. Red Green representatives will play this match against Sri Lanka. The match will be held at ICC Academy No. 1 ground in Dubai.
The match against Pakistan will be on September 30. This match will be organized at ICC Academy ground number 2. Both the warm-up matches will start at 8 pm Bangladesh time.
The participating teams will play 10 warm-up matches before the main round. The matches will be held between September 28 and October 1.
The Women’s World Cup 2024 has been moved from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates due to political unrest. The ICC then released the revised schedule at the new venue. The cricket governing body also released the schedule of the warm-up matches on Tuesday.
The ICC did not change the date on which the tournament was supposed to start while in Bangladesh. That is why the match will start from October 3 as per the previous fixture. Although the game will be held in the Emirates, Bangladesh will be the official venue of this World Cup.
The final of the tournament which started on October 3 will be held on October 20. 23 matches of the tournament will be organized in two stadiums in Dubai and Sharjah.
Bangladesh and Scotland will meet in the opening match of the World Cup. The match will start at 4 pm Bangladesh time. Bangladesh’s other opponents in the group stage are England, West Indies and South Africa.
